Every year in March, pilots from all over the country descend on the small town of Burnet, Texas for the Bluebonnet Airshow. The event is a celebration of aviation, and it features stunt flying, aerobatic demonstrations, and fly-bys from some of the most iconic aircraft in history. The show features a variety of aircraft, including vintage planes, acrobatic planes, and military jets.
The Bluebonnet Airshow is more than just an opportunity to see amazing planes. It’s also a chance to meet the people who fly them. Many pilots who participate in the show are passionate about sharing their love of flying with others, and they’re always happy to answer questions or take pictures. So if you’re ever in Texas in April, be sure to check out the Bluebonnet Airshow. It’s an event that you won’t want to miss.
The 2022 show was a pleasant experience. Tickets for adults were $20, for Youth only $10–discount available for Military and Senior Citizens. There was plenty of free parking available a short walk away. If you preferred to shuttle to the front gate, parking was $10. The food court was a pleasant surprise with the usual hot dogs, funnel cakes, tacos and Pizza but at a reasonable price.
The Bluebonnet Air Show is a great way to spend a spring day in Texas
