As the local history collection of the Austin Public Library, the Austin History Center provides the public with information about the history, current events, and activities of Austin and Travis County. They collect and preserve information about local governments, businesses, residents, institutions, and neighborhoods so that generations to come will have access to our history.

The Austin History Center will reprint historic photographs for you. They’ll even print on high quality Natural Fiber paper for you photo-geeks. Great wall art for not very much money. Soon as I can get around to framing it I’ll have a picture of the Treaty Oak hanging in my study. The picture of the 1922 tornado at the Capitol is neat too. I got this idea from our friends at ECA.
