T&S Seafood is an unassuming place in northeast Austin. It is famous for it’s dim sum (same friend from Shanghai who recommended Din Ho recommended I try the dim sum here). Unfortunately haven’t got to try that yet. I’ve managed to make it there for lunch and dinner for some truly awesome seafood and chinese vegetables. Favorite dishes include snow pea leaves, the whole Tilapi in black bean sauce, and the fried squid. Everyone else raves about the salt and pepper shrimp but I honestly found the squid better. If you want good food, but don’t care a whole lot about the atmosphere–this is the place. Oh yeah! one word of caution–when the chef suggests that a dish might be too “chinese” for your palate…you might take it into consideration–there are a few dishes that a western palate has a hard time with.

I can speak for the Dim Sum… it’s pretty good, and the carts come around fairly quickly. Cheap, too! We stuffed ourselves for ~$8/person. My only recommendation is that you go with adventurous eaters (actually, and that you *be* an adventurous eater, too). You won’t be able to identify every morsel, so picky eaters aren’t likely to enjoy themselves.
